RJ Erskine served as a large animal veterinarian for 40 years, including 30 years at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. He is especially interested in the natural and cultural forces that impact farming and rural life. In his suspense novels, he relies on personal experiences and events while practicing within an Amish community in Pennsylvania. The author currently lives in Michigan with his wife and assorted pets and continues with his veterinary career. His interests include gardening and driving his 1963 “Chevy cow truck.”
